CATTLE SECTION
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD –

CMMS NOTIFICATION CATTLE MOVEMENT
The movement of cattle to and from the Show must be recorded on CMMS using form CMMS 4 (forms available from your local DVO)
Ultimate responsibility for fulfilling this requirement lies with the Show Secretary.
The keeper of the animal(s) should complete sections 2 and 3(a) of the CMMS 4 form. Sections 3(b) should be completed by the Show Secretary and completed forms should be sent to the Cattle Movement Notification Agency within 7 days of movement in the prepaid envelope supplied.
Keeper herd numbers for Agricultural Shows may be obtained from NBAS Division, Block B, Maynooth Business Park, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. Tel: (01) 5053587.
ALL IDENTITY CARDS WILL BE INSPECTED ON ENTRY TO SHOW GROUNDS
ALL PEDIGREE CERTS WILL BE INSPECTED ON ENTRY TO SHOW GROUNDS

All owners must produce Identification cards and comply with Department of Agriculture rules on exhibiting cattle.
1st Prize winners of each class are not eligible for any other class other than the Championship.
Judging commences at 12 noon.

CLASS 48. SUCKLER COW WITH CALF BORN AFTER 01/01/10 CONFINED TO CONNEMARA.
CLASS 49: BEST HEIFER ANY BREED SHOWING NO PERMANANT TEETH

CLASS 50. BEST HEIFER (ANY BREED) NOT SHOWING MORE THAN TWO
PERMANENT TEETH.
HEIFER CLASSES
CLASS 51. QUALIFIER FOR THE ALL-IRELAND BEEF HEIFER CHAMPIONSHIP.

RULES & CONDITIONS
1. The competition is confined to animals weighing not less than 600kgs on day of Strokestown Show
2. All heifers will be weighed prior to judging of Final.
3. One heifer may qualify from each selected show; if the standard is in sufficient no heifer may be chosen.
4. All animals must be led by a competent adult.
5. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules.
