Entry Fee: €3.00

 

Prize Money: 1st  €15, 2nd  €12, 3rd  €8, except for light, rich, boiled and porter cake

classes where prize money is 1st  €20, 2nd  €15, 3rd  €10.

 

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. If there are two exhibits or less in a class, the items can be displayed but no prize money will be paid out in that class, unless the judges deem the standard to be    satisfactory.

2. Prize money for Domestic Arts Section will be paid in full within 6 weeks following show day.

3. Exhibits must not be removed before 5pm without written permission from the show secretary.

4. Entries will not be accepted on the day.

 

SECTION 1                              FARM PRODUCE

 

CLASS 131: Square Bale of Hay

CLASS 132: 6 Sods of Turf  (Hand Won)

CLASS 133: Machine Turf - 6 Sods

CLASS 134: Potatoes - Records (5 potatoes)

CLASS 135: Potatoes - Kerr Pinks (5 potatoes)

CLASS 136: Potatoes - Roosters (5 potatoes)

CLASS 137: Potatoes - Any other variety (5 potatoes), correctly named.

 

SECTION 2                              GARDEN PRODUCE

 

CLASS 138:  Potatoes - (3) Named Variety, table quality, boiled in jackets.

CLASS 139: Onions - Sets (5) Commercial Quality.

CLASS 140: Onions - Sets (3) Biggest Onion. Uniform in size.

CLASS 141: Shallots - (5)

CLASS 142: Salad Onions - Scallions (8 in a bunch)

CLASS 143: Parsnips - (3)

CLASS 144: Carrots - Red long (3)

CLASS 145: Garden Peas - (10) pods

CLASS 146: Beet Root - (3)

CLASS 147: Lettuce - (3) Heads, same variety, correctly named.

CLASS 156: Apples (Dessert) - Any variety, dish of 5

CLASS 157: Tomatoes - Dish of 5, stigs attached.

 

SECTION 4                                                FLOWERS

 

N.B Exhibits exceeding the stated sizes will be eliminated

 

CLASS 158: Cacti - 1 or more, pot not more than 6” in diameter.

CLASS 159: Flowering Pot Plant - Pot not more than 10” in diameter.

CLASS 160: Foliage Pot Plant - Pot not more than 10” in diameter.

CLASS 161: Flowering Shrub - One stem in vase. Stem 18” minimum in height.

CLASS 162: Dahlias - Cactus 3 Blooms.

CLASS 163: Dahlias - other than the above, 3 blooms one/more varieties.

CLASS 164: Rose/Floribunda - any variety, 1 stem only.

CLASS 165: Rose/Hybrid/T. - 3 specimen blooms.

CLASS 166: Rose of the Show - Single Bloom.

CLASS 167: Garden Flowers - one stem only (not a shrub).

CLASS 168: Selection of Cottage Garden Flowers

SECTION 5                                                FLOWER ARRANGING

CLASS 170: Foliage Only Arrangement - space allowed not more than 24”

CLASS 171: Autumn Glory - a flower arrangement along with any other material, eg fruit,   foliage, moss, cones, twigs etc. Space allowed not more than 24”.

CLASS 172: Hand Tied Bunch of Wild Flowers & Foliage in a  Vase.

CLASS 173: Arrangement with a Candle - space allowed not more than 18”.

CLASS 174: Arrangement of 5 Blooms with Foliage - Space allowed not more than 24”.

CLASS 175: An  Arrangement in a Wine Glass or a Miniature Arrangement. Space allowed not more than  12”
